Welcome to Sayara. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sayara website, mobile application and car-rental services. By creating an account, making a booking or otherwise using our platform you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
"Sayara", "we", "us" or "our" refers to Sayara Car Rental and its affiliated partners. "Customer", "you" or "your" refers to the individual or entity booking a vehicle through our platform. "Vehicle" refers to any car listed for rent on Sayara. "Booking" refers to a confirmed reservation made on our platform.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 21 years of age to rent a standard vehicle and 25 years of age for premium or luxury vehicles.
- You must hold a valid UAE driving licence or a recognised international driving permit accompanied by your passport and residence visa where applicable.
- Tourists must produce a valid passport, entry visa and original driving licence issued in an approved country.
- Sayara reserves the right to refuse any booking where the supplied documents cannot be verified.
3. Booking & Payment
All bookings are made online through the Sayara platform and are subject to availability. Rental rates displayed include VAT unless stated otherwise. A valid credit or debit card is required to confirm your booking and may be pre-authorised for a security deposit at pick-up.
- Daily, weekly and monthly rates are shown on the vehicle detail page.
- Additional services such as child seats, GPS or extra-driver coverage are charged separately.
- A security deposit is refunded within 14 working days of the rental return, subject to inspection.
4. Cancellation & Modifications
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pick-up receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of pick-up are subject to a one-day rental charge.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
- Booking modifications are subject to availability and may incur a change in the total rental amount.
5. Vehicle Use
The renter agrees to operate the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner. The vehicle must not be used:
- Outside the United Arab Emirates without prior written permission from Sayara.
- For racing, off-road driving, towing or any commercial transport of goods or passengers.
- By any person not registered as an authorised driver on the rental agreement.
- While the driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any prohibited substance.
6. Insurance & Liability
All Sayara vehicles are covered by third-party liability insurance as required by UAE law. Comprehensive coverage with a standard excess applies; this excess may be reduced or waived through optional protection packages purchased at the time of booking. The renter remains responsible for damages resulting from negligence, traffic violations, off-road use or breaches of these Terms.
7. Fines & Salik
All traffic fines, Salik toll charges, parking fees and Darb tags incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter. An administrative fee may be applied per fine processed by Sayara on the renter's behalf.
8. Fuel Policy
Vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same fuel level. Any shortfall will be charged at the prevailing pump rate plus a refuelling fee.
9. Termination
Sayara reserves the right to terminate any booking and repossess the vehicle without refund if the renter breaches these Terms, provides false information, or uses the vehicle in a manner that endangers the vehicle or other road users.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sayara shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses including loss of business, lost data, or lost profits arising from the use of our services.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
